Mindful on Senses: Moments Happiest

Whether focusing on an inner experience or connecting with others, you were happiest when giving your full to the here-and-now – what many people these days call being mindful. Without it, you might have enjoyed an event, but it would not have been a “happiest moment.”

You take in positive experiences through your senses

To help you acknowledge and enhance these joys, consider the following questions:

  • Does what you see make you happy? It might be an extraordinary landscape , but Whatever it is that captures your attention, make note of how it warms your heart.
  • Are you enjoying the sound of something? You might feel positively energized by your favorite music, relaxed by the ocean, or comforted by the voice of a loved one. Although the effect of these sounds is different, they are all examples of you enjoying an experience.
  • Do you
  •  something pleasing? Whether your mouth is watering from the smell of freshly baking cookies or you feel soothed by the smell of flowers, pay attention to not just the smell, but also how it makes you feel

  • Are you taking the time to taste and enjoy your food? Eating good food can be one of the greatest pleasures in life.

  • Are you feeling good through the sensation of touch? You might enjoy hugging your spouse or the sense of sunlight “touching” your skin might feel like an infusion of pure happiness.

The more you pay attention to the joy of your senses, the more fully you will feel happy.

Take the time to notice and appreciate all the good feelings that your senses offer both purely within yourself and between you and others.

By doing so, you will have many more “happiest” moments.

Mindfulness is about “maintaining a moment-by-moment awareness of our thoughts, feelings, bodily sensations, and surrounding environment.”

 Yeah! Mindful Vacation

. When we’re in our normal, day-to-day lives, our brains can go on autopilot: they know how things work and where places are.

But when our brains are exposed to new sounds, tastes and cultures, different synapses fire off in your brain, if only because you’ll have to find more in our happygreek2m blog on wordpress

In Greece. Sense, in every step you make

Attend the pleasure

Alessandra Ambrosio, Just discovered she fell  in love ...   with this island (mykonos),

Senses are essentially the doorways to your happiness.

You can walk through these doors by choosing to attend to the pleasure they bring you and to hold that attention.

This process of opening up to your senses is fundamentally about opening up the connection between yourself and the world. If you allow yourself to be mindful of one of your senses when it makes you happy, you might notice that you begin to be more aware of your other senses as well.

The more you pay attention to the joy of your senses, the more the happiest moments

Mindful to Happiness

Pathways to Happiness through Mindfulness

  • Feeling good. Seeking pleasurable emotions and sensations, from the hedonistic model of happiness put forth by Epicurus, which focused on reaching happiness by maximizing pleasure and minimizing pain.

  • Engaging fully ( Mindfulness) Pursuing activities that engage you fully, from the influential research by Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi. who has explored for decades, people's satisfaction in their everyday activities, finding that people report the greatest satisfaction when they are totally immersed in and concentrating on what they are doing he dubbed this state of intense absorption "flow."

  • Doing good. Searching for meaning outside yourself, tracing back to Aristotle's notion of eudemonia, which emphasized knowing your true self and acting in accordance with your virtues.
