Added to the increase in road arrivals also recorded by SETE, it amounts to a total sum of 450,000 more arrivals to Greece by air and road in September.

.According to the cyclical survey of the Foundation for Economic and Industrial Research (IOBE), this development is a result of the small improvement in expectations in all areas, but also a substantial rise in consumer confidence, which since March has been fluctuating at extremely low levels from which it gradually recovers.

Business expectations in the hotel industry amounted to 116.2 points compared to 104.6 in August and 101.5 in September 2015.
For services in general, the confidence index fell slightly to 80.0 units (August: 80.2), achieving a substantially superior performance compared to the corresponding last year (75.4).
