The President of the Medical Association of Athens and the International Health Tourism Center G. Patoulis in Pristina for The Balkan Countries' Health Tourism Conference
The International Health Tourism Center (IHTC) had a significant presence at this year's Balkan Countries International Conference on Health Tourism held in Pristina on 4 May 2018.
Addressing the conference Giorgos Patoulis, President of the Athens Medical Association,the IHTC and ELITOUR, presented the results of the Center's international activities and the key role initiatives of the Center in the interntional Health Tourism market.
At the Conference, the accession of Health Tourism National Bodies of Romania and Albania.into Greece's International Health Tourism Center was announced, following the accession of the National Bodies of Italy, Serbia and Cyprus of Health Tourism, that has already been launched, as said.
Commenting on Greece's presence at the Conference, and the International Health Tourism Center Intitatives so far, President George Patoulis stated:
"The International Health Tourism Center is expanding its partnerships with neighboring countries by gaining an increasingly important place in the international field of Health Tourism.
We are aiming to a leading role for Greece, especially in the Balkan region, while proceeding to synergies with neighboring countries that strenghten the position of Eastern Mediterranean and Balkan area on the world's map of Health Travel Destinantions.
Synergies on Travel, but mostly on scientific and medical services' basis, that are definitely increasing the dynamic of our country. "
