Heat wave peak on Friday in Greece that is expected to rise in temperature and humidity even more till the end of the first Jully weekend according to forcasts , leaving residents of Attica, Evros, Thessaly, central Macedonia and the Peloponnese under the brunt of accute sweltering conditions that mix with the persisting microbes air cocktall of the cities's garbage left to desynthesise unaccumulated for 13 days due to strike .
Union leaders agreed on Thursday to end the strike, but It is expected to take at least three days after Thursday -that cleaners' unions ended the strike- to clear the decaying, reeking piles that have been left behind , NYT noted today in its article describing the unpleasant conditions of Greece at hte opening of the 2017 tourist season.
