And the Luxury is... View !

The Luxury Greece With A View

While city views are entirely dependent on mankind’s ability to build structures and turn buildings into art and entire cityscapes into neon-lit bright reflections of a starry night,  resorts tend to let their surroundings and good ol’ Mother Nature do the talking.

So that's what the New Luxury Resort Trend is lately about, according to luxurytrravel blog . And thankfully Greece offers this advantage by most of its resorts, in each corner of Greek land  and islands.

The best resorts that come with the best views for 2017 luxurytravelblog voted list,  try to incorporate their surroundings into the complex and add to the view, rather than highlight the resort and take away from it. Resorts  with mountains, also, another prominent topographical feature, also accounting for much of the rest, often within the same landscape.

New Luxury is Simple

Words like “curated,” “artisanal,” and “authentic” fill press releases, but at ILTM, the bonniest bon mot was “simplicity.” True luxury is slowing down—that moment of decompression when you see a phenomenal view—and feeling completely unburdened. notes National Geographic Article presenting 2017's Luxury Travel  Trends

2017’s Travel Luxuries are  not about solid marble suites or gold-leaf interiors, as it came out from the recent annual International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM), the travel industry’s version of the Cannes Film Festival., in Cannes where  it was impressively about returning luxury to its roots—something precious, rare, and most important, invested in emotional value.

Defining your own luxury, says Gary Murphy of AmaWaterways, could be a surfing camp with no electricity or a five-star river cruise with plenty of bikes onboard for shore excursions.

  • Grace Hotels takes personalization even further; with Bespoke by Grace, guests can pick their room fragrance and bath products but also choose from insider experiences like blending your own wine in Argentina or a guided hike in Connecticut.

Like elsewhere in the wine world much of the wine produced in Greece is made from the mainstream grape varieties such as Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. Much of the rest of the wine is made using indigenous varieties still being treated in the old fashioned oxidative way of winemaking.

Greece has a  long tradition of making “normal” table wine going back at least 3,000 years and that it is also the home to at least a dozen indigenous grape varieties.

There are  certainly New style Greek wines being made from their native grape varieties which have been handled properly and using modern technology so as to express the true characteristics of these varieties. As a result, we are now able to see that quite a few of the native Greek varieties are capable of producing interesting and sometimes excellent wines.
