Police have discovered rough notes listing the names of politicians, including that of Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, while searching the apartment occupied by convicted terrorist Pola Roupa at the time of her arrest, a police source said on January 10.  In addition to Tsipras, the notes also included main opposition New Democracy leader Kyriakos Mitsotakis and former prime minister Antonis Samaras. But therhad not been found plans of attack against the three politicialns, though, there were revelaed plans of abduction of rich businessmen and Greek shipowners, the police clarified in later statements.

On January25, Terrorist group Conspiracy of the Cells of Fire issued a proclamation threatening prosecutors and journalists in retaliation for the arrest of wanted criminal Paula Roupa.

The organization’s proclamation was posted in anarchist website Indymedia.

The Conspiracy of the Cells of Fire claimed responsibility for six arson attacks on banks and diplomatic vehicles, saying they are “dedicated” to Roupa, a member of terrorist group Revolutionary Struggle.

Two weeks earlier the minister of civil protection Toskas  had talked to the media after an  assault rifle attack on a squad of riot police stationed outside PASOK headquarters in Exarchia. stating this was a reaction to the recent arrest of the  leading member of the Revolutionary Struggle terrorist group Paula Roupa.

“There is no such thing as neo-terrorism,” Toskas said. “These are simply vestiges of older terror groups, which are gradually being exterminated.”

Ballistic tests confirmed that the Kalashnikov used in the hit outside the PASOK offices was the same as the one used against the same target in May 2014 and at the Mexican Embassy in Athens in July, both of which were claimed by a new group calling themselves “Revolutionary Self-Defense.”

Indeed, by their  their text pubished on January 24, titled “We will be the ones to drop the curtain,” the group declared solidarity to Roupa and all members of the Revolutionary Struggle who are in prison, and declared war against authority and society while  calling all anarchists to join them in that war.

In the postscript of the text there is the threat:

“PS Snitches journalists and prosecutors do not think that we have forgotten about you. WE WILL RETURN SOON.”
